“A Whole Lot of Static” by Aron Kruschnik

Overview
Aron Kruschnik, a Hungarian poet and visual artist, lived through communism and now roams the free world, declaring: “I have as many homes as there are squares on a chessboard.” He explains his use of monochrome illustrations with characteristic candor: “Life under communism was black-and-white, sometimes gray – and that’s how I draw.” Kruschnik even resists the label poet, insisting instead: “I simply write word clouds.”
